I loathed my thighs, hated wearing short dresses and when skinny jeans came on the scene I thought there was no way in hell I would ever fit into a pair. But instead of giving up I funneled my frustration into finding the answer to what was stopping my clients and I from discovering our ideal health and weight. Low and behold I found that diet and exercise just aren't enough sometimes. The body is a complex system and I had been ignoring some really important pieces of the puzzle, one of which is cleansing the body of built up toxins! Toxins clog the liver which plays a HUGE role in converting hormones, metabolism and weight loss. So many people are missing this crucial piece so I'm on a mission to stop the frustration and teach more people how to take back control of their health and weight by cleansing the body naturally. |

As a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN) Practitioner and Transformational Nutrition Coach, I teach clients a model of self-care to relieve a variety of health complaints and improve overall well-being. Using a functional and holistic approach I help to identify healing opportunities that are creating dysfunction or imbalance in the body. Then we (the client and I) work to restore balance in the body using tools too improve diet, rest, exercise, stress reduction and natural supplementation to promote the healing process.
How: A series of lab tests and questionnaires are used to uncover hidden stressors and identify healing opportunities. Most of the lab tests are self-administered and are saliva or urine based, but there are some that require a stool sample or blood sample and a trip to a lab for the blood draw. Based upon the clients main health complaints I will recommend specific lab test to do the detective work.
What: Using the results from the lab tests we can identify how well the body is responding to stress (or in most cases how well it’s NOT anymore), if the body is robbing itself of hormones to create other hormones that it’s lacking, how healthy the gut is, if parasites are present and creating toxic overload, and which foods you may be intolerant to that are creating an inflammatory response.
Why: In my experience as a personal trainer I have worked with many clients who have struggled with weight loss among other personal health issues preventing them from reaching their optimal health and enjoying life to the fullest. I have even struggled with weight loss in the past, lack of energy, low libido, seasonal allergies, and chronic muscle and joint aches. We don’t have to live this way!!! Most of your “common” symptoms/aches/pains aren’t “normal” or a “part of getting older” but a result of some type of imbalance or dysfunction occurring in the body. Once balance is restored those symptoms/aches/pains will disappear all together, or at least diminish, making weight loss and optimal health a reality!
